Our Firm Values
Pro Bono
Access to justice should not be determined by the ability to pay. Our pro bono work is a direct expression of that belief.
Our Commitment
PDA Law is committed to providing free legal assistance — pro bono — to individuals and organisations who cannot afford legal representation and who would otherwise go without. We believe that access to justice is a fundamental right, not a privilege reserved for those who can afford it.
Our pro bono work is not a marketing exercise. It is a genuine commitment by our solicitors to give back to the communities we serve across Chester, North Wales, and the wider region.
Who We Help
Our pro bono assistance is directed towards:
- Individuals facing financial hardship who cannot access legal aid
- Charities and not-for-profit organisations with limited resources
- Community groups and faith organisations requiring legal guidance
- Vulnerable individuals in need of urgent legal advice
- Cases involving significant public interest
How We Deliver Pro Bono Work
Pro bono assistance at PDA Law is delivered in a number of ways:
- Direct representation: Where we take on a matter in full at no charge
- Advice clinics: Participation in free legal advice sessions for community organisations
- Reduced fee arrangements: Where full pro bono is not possible, we may offer significantly reduced fees to those in genuine need
- Signposting: Where we cannot assist directly, we will always try to direct individuals to appropriate free or low-cost legal resources
Charities & Faith-Based Groups
We have a particular commitment to supporting charities and faith-based organisations. Our dedicated practice area for charities and faith groups includes a fees and pro bono policy that reflects our values.

Requesting Pro Bono Assistance
If you believe you may qualify for pro bono assistance, please contact us in the first instance. We will assess each request on its individual merits, taking into account the nature of the matter, the financial circumstances of the applicant, and our capacity to assist.
We cannot guarantee pro bono assistance in every case, but we will always respond honestly and, where we cannot help directly, we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
