Our Firm Values

Diversity & Inclusion

A diverse team makes us a better firm. An inclusive culture makes us a firm people want to stay in.

Our Commitment

PDA Law is committed to creating and maintaining a workplace where diversity is valued and inclusion is practised — not just stated. We recognise that a diverse team brings different perspectives, experiences, and ideas that make us a stronger, more effective firm.

We are committed to ensuring that all individuals — whether employees, partners, clients, or third parties — are treated with dignity and respect, free from discrimination, harassment, or victimisation.

Our Approach to Equality

We are committed to equal opportunities in all aspects of our work, including:

  • Recruitment and selection: All appointments are made on merit, with processes designed to minimise unconscious bias
  • Career development: All staff have equal access to training, development, and progression opportunities
  • Pay and reward: We are committed to fair and transparent pay practices
  • Flexible working: We support flexible working arrangements to enable people from all backgrounds and circumstances to thrive
  • Wellbeing: We take the mental health and wellbeing of our team seriously

Protected Characteristics

We do not discriminate on the grounds of any protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010, including:

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Gender reassignment
  • Marriage and civil partnership
  • Pregnancy and maternity
  • Race (including colour, nationality, and ethnic or national origin)
  • Religion or belief
  • Sex
  • Sexual orientation

Diversity in Our Client Work

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion extends to how we serve our clients. We are committed to providing accessible, culturally sensitive legal services to all clients, regardless of their background. We work with interpreters and translators where needed, and we are mindful of the diverse communities we serve across Chester, North Wales, and the wider region.

SRA Diversity Data

As required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, we collect and report diversity data for our firm. This data helps us understand where we are and where we need to improve. Our diversity data is available on request.

Raising Concerns

Any member of staff who believes they have been subjected to discrimination, harassment, or victimisation should raise the matter through our internal complaints procedure. We take all such concerns seriously and will investigate them promptly and confidentially.

Clients who have concerns about how they have been treated are encouraged to contact us at enquiries@pdalaw.co.uk or refer to our Complaints Procedure.
